Text Box: he Equine Dental Industry desperately needs proper training for Vets and Dentists alike for the good of all concerned, to ensure that horses and owners receive the most up to date and competent dental treatment that is available and applicable to the rider as well as the horse. . . . . Assumed Competence . . . . We can all be drawn in by clever and convincing sales talk or fancy advertising for pretty well anything and we assume that those delivering it are competent. So many of us, when we require any form of treatment for our horse/s simply stick a pin in an advert and call that person without ever checking their credentials, happily allowing them to treat our beloved animals, no questions asked. In order to help you, help us convince ‘the powers that be’ just who is and who is not competent to perform equine dentistry, we ask you to email us giving details of your experiences of dental treatments you have had for your horse/s. Please include both Good and Bad administered by Dentists or Vets. Your comments are important to us, please help by completing the form below. *All information received will be treated in the strictest confidence and permission sought of the author before it is used.
